Junie's Story

Meet Junie!

Junie is a spunky and sweet 4-year-old pup at heart. She spent 7 months in a shelter before coming to Hope, and now she is soaking up her freedom and is ready to share her fresh start with a forever family!

Junie is super smart and has quickly picked up commands like sit, stay, down, wait, leave it, and come - and she'll gladly show off her skills for snacks! She recently reached her goal weight after being severely underweight, but she'll always give you her best puppy-dog eyes for more treats.

Junie is an excellent walker and loves car rides. She loves meeting new people, though she can be a little hesitant at first and may need some time to build trust. She is fully potty trained.

Junie can be very excited and overstimulated around other dogs and does best with slow, careful introductions over time. Because of this, we think Junie would thrive as an only dog and in a home without cats.
The only exception would be an adopter who is experienced with dog introductions and willing to commit to a very slow, structured integration process with another dog.

She can be a bit mouthy when playing, so a home with older children (or no kids) would be the best fit.

Junie is spayed and has completed her heartworm treatment - such a brave girl! She has a great nose for sniffing out kibble in the yard and loves cooling off with frozen puzzle treats.

This girl has been through a lot, but her spirit is unbreakable, her heart is huge, and her tail is always wagging. She can't wait to meet you. Apply to adopt Junie today!
