Junebug's Story

She previously lived on a chain, but she's quickly embracing the comforts of being a beloved companion.

She's doing well with potty training and is learning her house manners, and she walks nicely on a leash. Junebug seems to enjoy people of all ages, including children, though her playful energy may be a bit much for very small kids.

Junebug does well with other dogs but may show some assertive behavior, so proper introductions are important. She has not been cat tested. A meet and greet is required prior to adoption to ensure a great match.

She is up to date on vaccines and will be spayed very soon. Junebug is ready to find a loving home where she can finally enjoy the life she deserves.

Smith County Humane's Adoption Policy
Potential adopters complete an adoption application and go through a vetting process. Our coordinator speaks with them, asks questions regarding the potential pets living situation, we do a home visit or video call to assess the home. We also verify with their current vet that the pets they currently have are up to date on vaccines and preventatives. If approved, if there are other pets in the home, we do a meet and greet. Then we will finalize the adoption if all is approved by our coordinator.
