Juneberry's Story

Juneberry is what we imagine happens when a German Shepherd and a hound get together and decide to create the perfect family dog.

At around 6 years old and 58 pounds, Juneberry is past all the puppy nonsense but still has plenty of life and adventure left in her. She stands just above knee height on most people, making her a great medium-sized companion--not too big and not too small.

One of Juneberry's favorite things in the world is children. She absolutely adores them and has the sweet, gentle personality to make a wonderful family companion. She also does well with other dogs and enjoys having canine friends around.

Juneberry is laid-back, easygoing, and simply enjoys being part of whatever you're doing. Whether that's taking a walk, spending time in the yard, or relaxing on the couch, she's happy to be by your side. She walks nicely on a leash without dragging you down the street and has enough energy for fun and exercise without requiring hours of activity every day.

If you're looking for a dog who has outgrown the puppy chaos but still has many wonderful years ahead of her, Juneberry may be exactly who you've been waiting for.

To meet Juneberry, stop by Highland Humane Society during our open hours or submit an adoption application today!

Juneberry's adoption fee is $225. She is vaccinated, flea & tick treated, on heartworm prevention, given dewormer, Negative for Heartworm, positive for Lyme and Ehrlichia but being treated and is not contagious, will be spayed and microchipped upon adoption.

You can stop into the shelter 12-5 pm Monday through Friday or 11-3 pm on Saturday to meet who is available at that time.
