June Carter's Story
June Carter has been with LAWS since she and her littermates were rescued as tiny 5-week-old puppies from the Wind River Reservation. They arrived in our care very sick with parvovirus, but with dedicated care and love, June fought through and grew into the gentle, sensitive soul she is today.

June is not the right fit for every home, and that's okay. She is currently thriving in a loving foster home while she waits for the perfect match.

June is fearful of men and will only be considered for a female-only household. Once she feels safe, she is affectionate, playful, incredibly loyal, and loves spending time outdoors, especially in the snow. She also enjoys the companionship of other dogs and does well with cats.

Because June is shy and needs time to build trust, we are looking for a local foster-to-adopt home where she can settle in at her own pace before finalizing an adoption.

June has hip dysplasia, which is successfully managed with daily joint supplements. She will need a securely fenced yard where she can safely play and feel secure. She is crate-trained, eager to learn, and thrives in a calm, predictable environment.

June will not be placed in a home with men or children. She generally enjoys other dogs but has occasional resource-guarding behaviors with high-value food and treats, so thoughtful management and introductions are important.

June's ideal home is with a patient, experienced woman who understands that trust takes time. In return, she will gain a devoted, affectionate companion whose loyalty runs deep.

June's exact breed mix is unknown, but we know she's searching for the one person who will help her continue building confidence and live the happy life she deserves.
