June came to us from a very rural West Virginia shelter, where her chances of adoption were pretty nonexistent. She lived in a kennel there for close to a year with no socialization, mental stimulation or exercise. She was very shut down and mistrusting of handling. We were asked by another wonderful rescue group who works hard to save the West Virginia dogs if we could take them into the Chance Foundation. Because of her past, she is very shy around people. However, she is remarkably well mannered, and has a quiet, sweet demeanor that will be sure to melt your heart. She is dog friendly and would love to have another dog companion in her future home as it will help her learn the ropes of being a beloved pet and boost her confidence.
