June's Story
Meet June!

June is a sweet, young podengo looking for her forever home and she can reach alllllll the way to the bottom of a Pringles can with that snoot if your hands don't fit!

She's still very much a puppy at about 18mo and she still has a lot to learn about the world. She's on the smaller side, just under 30lbs, and she's been a patient, gentle soul while she's been with us and just needs some help building up her confidence.

June is incredibly smart and picks up on things remarkably quickly. While she doesn't appear to know any cues (or at least none of the ones that we've tried), she's a fast learner with an eagerness to please AND an eagerness to learn. She's made so much progress with her leash manners in the short time she's been with us to the point that she's now an absolute ROCKSTAR on a leash and she listens very well to corrections.

June is a shy girl but not completely antisocial. She's brave enough to wander up and say hello and it doesn't take her very long to be comfortable hanging out with someone one on one. She's shown some interest in toys, especially tennis balls, but not much. We're expecting this will change once she's somewhere she can call her own.

She does well with other dogs but DEFINITELY prefers calmer, more low-key dogs. Higher energy, extroverted, bouncy dogs make her nervous...the same way that cats make her nervous. She's happy to pal around with another dog that's doing their own thing. We would prefer kids 12+.

To apply, visit foreverpaws.com and click adopt to download our application. Once complete, you can email it to us at fpas1@foreverpaws.com.
