JUNE's Story

Everyone Loves June
Meet June, affectionately known as Lil Miss Social Bug—because making friends is basically her superpower.

Some dogs just have that effect on people, and June is one of them. Volunteer after volunteer says the same thing: She's such a sweet girl. Wherever she goes, tails wag (hers especially!), smiles appear, and strangers quickly become admirers. She loves meeting kids and adults alike, soaking up every pet and every kind word.

June is a happy little wiggle butt who greets life with joyful spins and excitement. She'll happily chase a tennis ball, though bringing it back is optional according to June's rulebook. She's also an impressive treat catcher and has an irresistible party trick—she'll sit up on her back legs with her little paws in the air for a snack. It's impossible not to smile.

On walks, June likes to weave along as she explores the world, checking in with you to make sure you're still part of the adventure. She's continuing to polish her leash skills, takes treats gently, and is eager to keep learning.

If you're looking for a cheerful best friend who loves everyone she meets, June is ready to fill your home with wiggles, laughter, and unconditional love.

June participates in the Barks and Recreation field trip program. She also recently met some social dogs at our shelter. She wasn't aggressive, but she wasn't ready to make dog friends right now. We hope that as she gets more experience in our shelter playgroups, she’ll be ready to show us her silly side with other dogs. Looking for a buddy for your dog? Bring him/her to the shelter for a meet and greet and see if we're a match!

To meet me, visit the Bradshaw Animal Shelter Tuesday-Sunday, Noon - 5:00 pm, Wednesdays, Noon - 6:00 pm. All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. To help expedite the meet and greet process, please make note of my Animal ID number, and those of other dogs you might be interested in meeting. Be sure to bring your ID with you, too. We are located at 3839 Bradshaw Road, Sacramento. I look forward to getting to know you!
