Jumper's Story

HEY! I'M JUMPER!

Let me introduce myself. I'm Jumper, a young Jack Russell Terrier with short legs, a BIG personality, and an absolute obsession with toys!

My story didn't start out exactly the way I would have chosen. I was left behind after an eviction and surrendered to Tired Dog Rescue. But I'm not going to let that define me. I'm ready for my next chapter, and hopefully this one ends with a forever family who keeps me forever.

Here's what you need to know about me:

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE TOYS! Throw me a ball and I'll chase it like it's my job. Sometimes I'll even bring it back. Sometimes I'll decide you can go get it yourself.

I LOVE BEING OUTSIDE! If you're outside, I'm happy to hang out, explore, sniff around, and do my own little investigation. Basically, I'm a tiny outdoor adventurer.

Back rubs? YES, PLEASE! My favorite spot is right in the yarrow. Apparently it's getting replaced with butterfly milkweed, so I'm hoping there's a suitable back-rubbing replacement involved.

SQUIRREL WATCHING IS MY FAVORITE TV SHOW. I can watch them for HOURS. And if one gives me the opportunity, I will absolutely chase it up a tree. The squirrels have discovered that my short little legs are their greatest advantage. They stay just out of reach and basically MOCK ME. Rude.

Leash skills? We're working on it. I'm still learning that the leash is supposed to be attached to me and not something I should negotiate with.

House training? Also a work in progress. I'm young and still learning, so patience and consistency will be important.

I was born January 28, 2026, weigh about 11.4 pounds, and I'm scheduled to be neutered October 13.

I may need a little training and patience, but I've got plenty of love, curiosity, personality, and toy-chasing energy to give in return.

I'm Jumper. I've been left behind once. I'm really hoping my next stop is the one where I get to stay.

Tired Dog Rescue
Gulfport, Mississippi
www.tireddogrescue.org

Applications are being accepted now!

#AdoptJumper #TiredDogRescue #JackRussellTerrier #RescueDog #AdoptDontShop

Tired Dog Rescue's Adoption Policy
Tired Dog Rescue adoption fee includes all sets of vaccinations, heartworm test, fecal exam, spay/neuter and microchip. We also recommend that you research the breed that you want to adopt. Ask yourself....Can you afford the cost of a high maintenance dog such as a Cocker Spaniel or Shih-tzu etc? The grooming costs are about 50.00 every 6-8 weeks. Are you in a position to adopt a puppy which will require training? Can you afford the medical costs that might be involved in adopting a senior pup? We want every adoption to be for life so please think about what you can and what you are willing to do before considering each pet. If you are unsure please contact us and we can help answer any questions.
