Juliette's Story

Juliette is estimated to be between 2 and 2 1/2 years old. She is a sweet girl that has been with our rescue for far too long for no reason at all.

She came from a property that had 25+ dogs, the lady was overwhelmed and asked for help. Juliette stays with two other dogs that came from the same property, she knows how to use a doggy door and she comes and goes as she pleases out the door. Previously she was in one of our kennels at a different property and she never had an accident and waited to be walked.

She is an energetic girl and enjoys going for walks and loves to explore. She is smart and trainable, she knows to sit for pets even when she gets super excited to see us, she reminds herself that she isn't supposed to jump. She will make a fantastic companion, and would love nothing more than to bond with someone.

She is ok with other dogs after a proper introduction period, but we do not think she is going to be good with cats or small dogs.

Juliette has been spayed, she will come current on all vaccinations and will be microchipped. She has been on monthly flea/tick prevention since coming into our care.

Juliette has been waiting longer than most, lets get this girl home!

**This is an Out Of Town listing. If you are interested in adopting, the FIRST step is to complete an application.

If your application was successfully submitted you will get a generated confirmation email.

DO NOT SUBMIT AN APPLICATION IF YOU ARE NOT CURRENTLY READY TO ADOPT.

All of our animals are rescued and transported from South Mississippi where major animal overpopulation means less homes. We only transport them once adopted, in most instances, we can be available for a video call once an application has been approved.

WE PERSONALLY TRANSPORT OUR OWN adopted animals to meet their new families. We transport every 2-3 weeks.
We facilitate adoptions through our own internal transport to ensure the quality of care. We travel to VA, MD, PA, NJ, CT, VT, and NY. Our dogs travel in comfort with 24/7 care. We have been facilitating long distance adoptions since 2019.

***Breed input is required for each platform but is not guaranteed to be accurate. We do not DNA test. We rescue animals from different situations. We discuss breed assignments with our vets to label them as accurately as possible. ***

We are currently unable to adopt pets to ME and RI residents

Dixie Adoptables's Adoption Policy
Our Adoption Process: Our goal is to match the right pet with the right adopter. **Minimum adopter age is 23** 1. Once we receive the completed application, we will call your vet references, personal reference, and landlord (if applicable). 2. Once you get an approval, we will set up a time for a phone call and typically can offer a video call with the potential animal. 3. All adoptions will be finalized and fees collected prior to the transport of your new family member. Adoption fees will not be refunded if you simply change your mind. We only hold an animal for adoption once a deposit has been paid or the full adoption fee has been paid. 4. We will coordinate with you to transport your new pet to one of our many transport destinations if you are not a local adopter. **We reserve the right to refuse an adoption if we feel it is not a good fit.**

Our Mission
Dixie Adoptables is a 501(c) (3) non-profit animal rescue. We are a rescue, not a shelter, and as such we do not have our animals housed in one location – they are in foster homes. Founded in 2008, we are committed to rescuing, caring for, and adopting homeless dogs and cats into loving and responsible homes.
