JULIET's Story

WATCH MY VIDEO...Juliet is a beautiful 2 year old black Lab mix with a gentle heart and a sweet personality that quickly wins people over. She came to us from another shelter, so we do not know much about her past, but since arriving here, she has shown us just how loving and special she truly is.

The moment you meet Juliet, you’re greeted with happy tail wags and paws reaching out for attention. She absolutely loves people and soaks up affection any chance she gets. Spending time with her in her kennel is easy because she enjoys simply being near you, getting pets, and feeling safe with someone she trusts.

Outside, Juliet enjoys walks and does very well on leash, but the busy world can sometimes feel a little overwhelming for her. Loud noises, passing cars, and barking dogs can make her nervous, and when she feels unsure, she looks to her person for comfort and reassurance. At times she’ll tuck herself close, even hiding under your legs when crouched down, which only shows how much she wants to feel protected and secure.

Despite her timid moments, Juliet is incredibly affectionate and eager to connect. She comes when called, knows “sit” to some degree, and has lovely manners overall. She has little spurts of playful energy but is mostly a calm, loving companion who enjoys attention and gentle interaction. Chest rubs are one of her favorite things, and she would happily spend all day leaning into pets from someone kind and patient.

Juliet does best when people move slowly with her and give her time to build confidence, especially when passing through noisy kennel areas where barking dogs can make her nervous. Once she feels comfortable, though, her sweet and loving personality shines brightly.

This lovely girl is looking for a patient, caring family who will help her feel safe and loved while she continues gaining confidence in the world around her. In return, Juliet will give endless affection, loyal companionship, and a heart full of love.
