Jude's Story
Jude is a small boy who joined us from one of our shelter partners. He’s estimated to be around 1–2 years old and is hoping to find a loving family of his own. Jude is on the shy side and will thrive in a calm, patient home that can offer a slow and steady approach.
Jude has been spending time in one of our wonderful foster homes, and here’s what we’ve learned so far. Potty training has been an adjustment, it appears he was not on a fairly solid routine in his previous home before entering the shelter. While we don’t know much about what his life looked like before, we’re learning more each day. He will however use pee pads as in the house if available. He is doing great on a leash and enjoys walks outside (when the weather is better).
Jude can be nervous when meeting new people and does best when he isn’t overwhelmed. He appreciates being given the time and space to go at his own pace. While it may take him a little while to build trust, once he does, Jude forms strong bonds and loves being close to his people. Once Jude knows you’re part of his people, he turns into a semi playful, attentive companion who loves being involved. Since he is more on the timid side we do believe he would do best in a home without children at this time.
If you are interested in being Jude's forever companion and live in or within 3 hours of Chicago please apply directly.
