Judah's Story
Judah is located in Ontario and is being returned to our rescue, because his family has changed a lot since adoption 4 years ago (new wife and baby) and he is now depressed and lonely. They want the best for Judah, who needs to be a big part of family life.

Handsome Judah is a 5 yr old Redtick Coonhound, about 28 kg/50 lb, with a gentle personality who loves his people and his daily walks. He is house-trained, knows sit, stay and other basic commands and walks nicely on the leash, after his initial excitement wanes. He does get excited when he sees another dog.

Judah is quiet in the house and mannerly with visitors when they enter. Also, he waits quietly for his food bowl to be placed on the floor and goes to the bowl after his release cue. But like most hounds, he will take food left within reach on the counter and raid the garbage can, if it is left unprotected.

And who loves running around the dog park! Judah loves to go to his favorite sniff spots during every visit. He is mostly uninterested in meeting other dogs at the park. He just wants to be on sniffari.

Judah would be happiest in a home where his human family were home much of the time. He likes to sleep in his dog bed at night, or sometimes on the couch. He has not been crate trained and is not destructive in the home. He ignores toys.

Judah has met a cat at a store, and while he did bark once, he sat on command and watched the cat!

https://www.coonhoundrescue.ca/adoption-application/
