Meet Joy — a pup true to her name!<br/><br/>Joy is a 5-year-old Catahoula Leopard Dog (about 45 lbs) whose biggest talent is making everyone around her feel... JOYful. She's gentle and easy-going, and she's the kind of dog that fits right into your life and makes it better.<br/><br/>Joy loves other dogs... big, small, young, old. She would thrive with a playful canine sibling who enjoys wrestling and having fun. After playtime, she’s perfectly happy to settle down and relax at your feet or cuddle on the couch watching TV.<br/><br/>She’s fantastic with kids and has been especially sweet and gentle with an 8-year-old in her foster home. Joy takes treats politely and has a habit of trying to give "hugs" by placing her paws on your waist. Her forgiving, tender spirit really shines around children.<br/><br/>House manners? Nailed it.<br/>- Fully potty trained<br/>- Sleeps quietly in her crate all night (and actually likes it!)<br/>- No guarding, no reactivity, no aggression<br/>- Walks nicely on leash<br/><br/>Joy has a medium energy level. She enjoys playful bursts and morning zoomies, but she’s not a fence-runner or a nonstop athlete. She prefers being close to her people and will politely let you know when she’s ready to come back inside.<br/><br/>Despite an unknown past, Joy has proven to be remarkably trusting, loving, and adaptable. She wants to be where her people (and dog friends) are, soaking up companionship and sharing her calm, affectionate presence.<br/><br/>She’s ready to be someone’s forever companion!
