Joy's Story
I'm Joy, the snow-white hallway guard stationed halfway between the sofa and the sliding door. My rule is simple: nothing strolls past without a quick approval tap from me. Am I deaf? Absolutely. That just means every flick of your fingers comes through in high definition. Flash a thumbs-up and I'm sprinting. Wiggle your hand and I'll park beside you for pets. Silence has never looked this busy.

I'm already memorizing the thump of the fridge door and the rhythm of your footsteps, so "special training" is really our daily game of charades. Show me a cue, hand over the cookie, and I'll practice until your arms get tired. Cats are another matter. I don't mean them any harm, but I find them extremely exciting and tend to introduce myself with bouncing paws and far too much enthusiasm. A cat in my home will need plenty of escape routes while I learn that a twitching tail is not an invitation to wrestle. Keep the signals clear, the snacks ready, and I'll run this house like the friendliest traffic cop on four paws.
