Hi there! My name is Joy and I'm a 2 year old Female Shepherd Mix currently living at the Santa Barbara Campus, eager for a new home!<br/><br/>Joy to the world! Your favorite Shepherd has come... from an overcrowded rescue, and we are so excited to help her find the loving home she deserves! Joy is an absolute people person and has quickly become a volunteer favorite. She loves being around her humans and is your typical Shepherd girl: smart, loyal, and wonderfully clingy with the people she loves. If you're looking for a best friend who will happily follow you from room to room and always wants to know what you're doing, Joy may be your girl! Like many Shepherds, Joy will thrive in a home that understands the breed and can provide her with the structure, guidance, and companionship she needs. She would love an active home where she can continue learning, get plenty of physical and mental exercise, and most importantly, be included as part of the family. Shepherds are known for forming strong bonds with their people, and our gal is no exception!<br/><br/>If you're ready for a loyal sidekick who will bring plenty of *wink wink* JOY into your life, come meet this special girl!<br/><br/>Like all animals at Santa Barbara Humane, before going home I will be spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped . My adoption also includes a complimentary post-adoption health exam with a participating local veterinary clinic as well as a supply of Hill's Science Diet food to help make my first few days at home a little easier.<br/><br/>If you're ready to welcome me or another animal into your family, stop by during adoption hours-daily from 12:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., except Wednesdays. No appointment or advance notice is r equired!<br/><br/>Need to pick up a few essentials before heading home? Visit the retail center at either Santa Barbara Humane campus, where you'll find toys, treats, collars, leashes, and more at competitive prices. Every purchase helps support the animals in our care and the programs that serve pets and people throughout our community. We hope to see you soon!
