Journey's Story

(DOB 11/29/2019) Who's ready for FALL, ya'll? Journey is, because she loves her daily strolls. Do you love watching the leaves change colors, the crunch of them under your feet, and cooler, crisper days, then Journey would love to join you!

She is a gentle, affectionate “velcro” dog who will follow you from room to room just to be sure erything is okay. She forms deep bonds with her people, loves to stay close, and shows her devotion with kisses, cuddles, and a calm, sweet nature.

Journey greets new people with a wagging tail and a warm, friendly presence. She's house-trained, rides beautifully in the car, and loves the simple joys in life like sunbathing, snuggling, and stretching her legs in a secure yard where she can run, zoom, and tap into her playful inner hunter. She does walk nicely on a walk and doesn't really pull unless she sees something extra interesting to her.

Smart and treat-motivated, Journey is eager to learn and continues to build confidence with crate training, independence, and play. She shows her happiness through gentle, mouthy play and using her paws to interact. She may sneak a curious paw onto the counter, but she responds well to guidance and consistency. A puppy at heart, Journey is still figuring out the whole “toys” thing and she doesn't quite understand fetch yet, but she would be happy for you to teach her.

Journey feels safest and does her best when she has loving human guidance nearby. If you have a secure fence, a soft bed, and a heart ready to guide a devoted dog toward her best self, Journey is ready to begin her new life with you, and she promises to love you every step of the way.

As part of Journey's $300 adoption fee, she will be spayed, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet girl, you can email: Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org. If you wish to adopt Journey, you can fill in an online application for her under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website: www.pawsforlifenc.org.
