Josie's Story

Josie
3 months old
Female
10 lbs

Meet Josie — your future shadow, snuggle buddy, and full-time adventure partner! Josie is an energetic “velcro dog” who loves being close to her people and will happily follow you from room to room just hoping for connection and affection. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who wants to be part of everything you do, Josie is your girl.

Josie loves to play! She enjoys roughhousing with both dogs and humans and brings lots of goofy, playful energy to every interaction. She’s still learning boundaries and personal space, so continued training and consistency will help her keep building good manners. The good news? She’s incredibly motivated by toys and treats, which makes training fun and rewarding.

Speaking of toys — Josie believes that if she can reach it, it might belong to her! She’s always ready to turn everyday objects into playthings, so keeping tempting items out of reach is a good idea while she continues learning what’s hers and what’s not.

Josie is also working on crate training. She may vocalize when she wants out because she’d much rather be cuddling, playing, or hanging out with her people. With patience, routine, and positive reinforcement, she’s making progress every day.

Josie would thrive in an active home that can give her plenty of playtime, affection, structure, and continued training. In return, she’ll give you endless love, laughs, and loyal companionship.

Interested in adopting? Submit an adoption application on our website rescuedrascalsil.org!

We will review your application at our earliest convenience. If your application is selected, we will contact you for a phone interview. From there, we’d schedule a meet and greet with the dog to make sure it is a great fit for adoption for the whole family and any other dogs in your home.

Questions about adoption?
