8/4/20 - I'VE BEEN ADOPTED!<br/><br/>Age: 9.5 years<br/>Weight: 7 lbs.<br/>Adoption Fee: $200<br/>Fostered in Baton Rouge, Louisiana<br/><br/>7/13/20 - Josie had her dental and spay on 7/8/20. She did great. She did lose 12 teeth, but still has 6 and eats her soft food fine. We also found out that she is hypothyroid, so was started on the medicine Thyroxine. The monthly medicine is very inexpensive. She takes .1 mg, 1/2 pill twice daily and it costs $12 per month.<br/><br/>She said that she will give her new owners $12 in kisses per month to make up for it though.<br/><br/>6/29/20 - Say hello to Josie! She is the newest member of Yorkie Haven Rescue. She arrived Friday evening. She was surrendered to a shelter in Louisiana by her owners. No explanation, no reason, just surrendered. Now that's taking social distancing A LITTLE TOO FAR!<br/><br/>What's that you say Josie? You are glad to be away from them? You never liked those people anyway? You are ready to start a new life with better owners? Well, your wish is our command! <br/><br/>Josie is a very sweet little lady that is very adaptable to change. She came right into her foster home as if she had been there her whole life. She is very social, good with other dogs, a great eater and loves sleeping in the bed.<br/><br/>This gal has it all. Looks, personality, attitude, charm, sweetness and a hint of a hard outer shell which helped her with her past owners since being discarded wasn't something she was expecting. Her glass is half full and she is drinking red bull. lol<br/><br/>She has her vet appointment for July 8th to be spayed, get all her shots, heartworm test, bloodwork and get a dental. She will probably lose some of her teeth since they are in such bad shape, but then she will feel much better. Then she will visit the photographer, so stand by for cuteness overload!<br/><br/>She will not be let down again. So please don't apply if you aren't a 100% awesome pet owner! No exceptions!!
