Josie Pit Bull Terrier Mix Joliet, IL

Welcome, Josie to Paws Up 4 Rescue! She is a 2-year-old pit mix. Her favorite things include: snuggling, following her humans everywhere they go, playing with toys, exploring the yard, sunning with her foster siblings, and more snuggling! Josie can be timid and shy at first but she has yet to meet a person + dog that she doesn't like. She comes out of her shell quickly- and will be sitting on your lap + spooning you in no time! She is house trained and crate trained. Although, she does not like to be crated for long periods of time because she would rather be hanging out on the couch. Josie knows how to sit well but could use some work on some of her other manners. She gets very excited when her humans come home and loves to jump and give big gentle hugs. Josie also came to rescue very skinny and LOVES all food so she wants to eat all of her foster sibling's food, too! She would make the perfect companion and you would always feel loved in her presence! She would enjoy having a fenced-in yard to run and explore in and a family that is at home more than not to give her all the attention that she loves and deserves!

Adopters must live within a 100-mile radius of Joliet, IL to be considered. The adoption fee is $425. This covers all shots, spay/neutering and microchip.

Our adoption process typically takes from one to two weeks. When you find an animal you are interested in, we ask that you fill out an application as a first step so we can determine if your family is a good fit for the animal. If you are, then we will contact you to arrange a time for you and your family to meet the animal so you can decide if it is a good fit. If you currently have dogs, we require that the dogs be present at the meeting to make sure it's a good fit all around. Once compatibility is determined, we move on to the paperwork and finalizing the adoption.

If the meet is not a good fit, we will keep your application on file for up to 1 year and we will gladly consider your family for another dog.
