Josefina's Story

Meet Josefina AKA Josie. She is a husky mix who is about 4 years old. She was found in very poor condition with no fur on her back end, very skinny and hundreds of fleas. Once in the shelter she was given food and a much needed bath. Josie has recovered nicely and was a shelter favorite. Once she came to Rover Rescue we saw how truly wonderful she is. Josie is a sweet girl who loves people and wants to be the best girl she can be for her humans. She is house broken and crate trained. Since being in her foster home she has become great friends with the young resident dog. Josie has learned to play and run around the yard. She recently learned how to play tug. She has seen the resident dog fetch a ball and has picked up the ball twice. Because of being so skinny, she is fed separately, like all the other foster dogs in the house. Josie should not be in a house with cats because of her prey drive. Josie's perfect home will have another dog sibling who likes to wrestle. Josie has been spayed, microchipped and is up to date on her immunizations. If you would like to meet this dog, please call Teri at 630-897-7454. The adoption fee is $275.

Adoption fee includes:
- microchip
- spay/neuter
- age appropriate vaccinations: Bordetella, DH(L)PP, rabies
- heartworm preventive and flea/tick preventive
- deworming
