****We are Huts for Mutts-Hamilton Dog Rescue, Hamilton, TX. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that is working with the City of Hamilton and the Hico Police Department to find loving foster and permanent homes for dogs that have been abandoned and have ended up in the Hamilton Pound or the Hico Animal Shelter. We are in Texas, and we transport our dogs North because Texas is overflowing with unwanted dogs.<br/>All of our dogs are vaccinated and on preventatives. Dogs older than six months are spayed or neutered.<br/>Huts for Mutts has been in operation for nearly 20 years, providing free spay/neuter to low-income residents of Hamilton, and doing our best to find loving homes for abandoned, neglected or abused dogs. Are you looking for a large loveable Labrador, with a sweet, gentle personality? Joon maybe the one for you.<br/><br/>In February, poor Joon, along with her brother Benny, was found dumped at a park. Both were taken to the Hico Animal Shelter, where they were fed, watered, and loved. Benny has since been adopted. Joon was adopted for a bit, but was returned, because the adopter's children were much to rambunctious for her. Joon prefers calm. Joon is currently in a foster home where she enjoys wandering in water and hanging out with other dogs and cats.<br/><br/>Joon is a big sweetheart, she's a bit timid on leash, but loves going for walks and to wander in water. Joon loves other dog and does well with cats. Joon is great with adults, but young or hyperactive children are a problem.<br/><br/>Joon is ~1 year-old, 85 lbs., spayed female Labrador mix. She's heartworm negative, up to date on all vaccines, and rabies, and is on preventatives for parasites. Joon is house broken, and though sometimes timid on leash, she walks well when there's another dog to build her confidence.<br/><br/>Mostly, Joon is just a big loveable Lab. Joon would do best in a calm home with another dog and without rambunctious children.
