What is Heaven's Lil Angels Animal Sanctuary, Inc.’s adoption process?

Thanks for considering to adopt a rescued pet. Please be understanding and realize there may be other families interested in the same pet. I screen very thoroughly and I make my decisions based on the following: VET REFERENCE, time you have to spend with the pet, a home/environment most suited for the pet, experience/history, personal references, etc. I have devoted my entire life, heart and soul, and 100% of my income to these precious, innocent babies for the past 23 years. It's a choice I have made and it's a 24/7/365 full time job. It is physically, financially and emotionally exhausting. I do not get paid one cent to do this. It's EXTREMELY costly. I do not receive any funding, grants, tax breaks, reimbursements, etc. I do this because God wants me to and because I love them. They all deserve love and respect. Every adoption requires a completed application, home visit (if possible), good vet reference, good personal references (not just family), signed adoption contract and the donation amount as listed on each pet's profile. I DO adopt to families out of state. However, I do NOT ship any of my babies. You must be willing to travel to the sanctuary in McArthur, OH 45651 (Southeastern Ohio) to complete the adoption. We are located: 1 1/2 hours from Columbus, OH; 30 minutes from Chillicothe, OH; 30 minutes from Logan, OH; 40 minutes from Athens, OH; and 30 minutes from Jackson, OH.
