Jojo

At just 2 years old and 53 pounds, Jojo is the kind of dog who never met a stranger. Friendly, outgoing, and eager to make new friends, she approaches life with a wagging tail, an enthusiastic outlook, and a contagious zest for fun. Her cheerful personality and love of people make her a joy to take anywhere, whether you're meeting friends on a patio, exploring a new trail, or simply enjoying a brisk walk around the neighborhood.

Jojo is athletic, energetic, and always ready for action. Toys are her absolute favorite thing in the world, and her intense toy drive has been one of her standout traits since arriving at SDF. She is highly engaging, loves interacting with her people, and is always ready for a game, a training session, or any activity that lets her put her enthusiasm to work. Smart and eager to learn, Jojo thrives when given opportunities to use both her body and her brain. She was originally recruited for search dog training because of her exceptional toy drive, hunt instinct, and desire to work with people.

She genuinely enjoys searching, problem-solving, and working toward a reward, making her an excellent candidate for scent work, nose work, or other low-impact detection activities. She loves having a job and would be happiest in a home that appreciates her desire to stay active and engaged.

During a routine orthopedic screening, changes consistent with arthritis were identified in one elbow. Despite these radiographic findings, Jojo is currently very sound, active, and comfortable. To help ensure her long-term success, she would be best suited for an active lifestyle that emphasizes low-impact adventures and activities rather than physically demanding sports.

If you're looking for a fun-loving, toy-crazy companion who will eagerly join you on hikes, training adventures, scent-work games, and everyday outings, Jojo may be your perfect match. She brings together the enthusiasm of a working dog, the friendliness of a social butterfly, and the intelligence of a dog who loves to learn. All that's missing is a person to share the adventure.
