A Sato is a Puerto Rican street dog, and John’s life began just that way — wandering the streets as a young puppy, thin and suffering from mange. Thankfully, he was rescued in time and given the care he so desperately needed. Today, he is healthy, strong, and ready for a forever home.

John is a gentle giant with the sweetest disposition. He is curious, playful, and affectionate, and would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a larger dog with a kind heart. Despite his rough start, he is incredibly trusting and eager to please. His transformation has been amazing to watch, and his personality shines more every day.

He is currently working on crate, leash, and potty training in his foster home and continues to make great progress. John would thrive in a home that can offer him consistency, patience, and love as he continues learning what it means to be safe and cared for.
