Joel's Story

DOB: 2/21/2018 - Joel came to the shelter with his sister, Pepper, after their family had to move and could not take them along. He is a friendly, easygoing guy who loves meeting new people, getting pets, and carrying around his favorite toys. Joel enjoys tug games, cuddles, and spending time outside (especially in a little pool!).

Joel is house trained, knows "sit," and generally gets along well with other dogs and cats. He has been wonderful with young children and has a calm, gentle personality. He can pull on a leash when excited, especially if he spots a squirrel, but has improved over time.

Joel enjoys stuffed toys, rope toys, and any snack he can convince you to share, especially cheese. He does have a habit of trying to eat things he should not, so toys and small items should be kept out of reach. Joel can be vocal when something catches his attention, making him a good little neighborhood watch dog.

We would love if he could stay with his sister, but will consider adopting them separately to lower their length of stay.
