He is an active dog and would be too much for a senior owner. Absolutely no children or grandkids. He must stay in or close by the local area.

Meet JoJo, an active, handsome 7 1/2-year-old black n white Cavalier-Basset mix. He was bought from a breeder. His owner was moving and turned him into a shelter where he was taken in by another rescue. He bit several of their people, and they didn't know how to deal with him, so he came to us. Every day we have worked with him, challenged him and corrected him to behave properly. We have not quit on him just because he has issues. He has been with us for 3 years and has made tremendous progress. His aggression is doable if you listen to our suggestions and what we have learned works for him to be a good dog.

He needs a fenced yard and a calm adult only home with a good alpha owner willing to work with him. If you listen to us on what works best for him, he can be a good boy. A home with few visitors and limited distractions is a must. He can be crated temporarily. No children, no grandchildren and no senior owners due to his past. He doesn't do well with big dogs and cannot be in a home with Pitt Bulls. He is most comfortable with Cocker Spaniels and Corgi's. He is very selective with who he likes and will bond with you once he knows you. He can be a goofy guy, likes to play fetch, is a bit jealous at times and can be vocal at mealtimes.

His adoption fee is $400.
