Jimmy

Jimmy is a sweet loveable pup. He will timidly approach people he meets for pets, while wagging his tail so hard it will wiggle his whole body. Jimmy loves other dogs and engages in play regularly. He will also play alone with his toys running through the yard making up his own games. Jimmy would love a yard to call his own, he's a little timid in the house and it takes him a few days to get comfortable with a new room. He sleeps through the night on his own bed & will not get up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. He's working on his house training and doing very well. <br/> Jimmy is treat motivated and loves his meals. He will sit patiently at the entry to the kitchen while his humans are cooking. He doesn't beg or bark for food. He's a well-mannered puppy and aims to please. Jimmy likes going for leashed walks and gets very excited when it's time to go. He's easy to leash and walks well on a loose leash. Jimmy is learning what toys he can chew on and what he's not allowed to chew on. He takes redirection very well and is responsive to positive correction. You only have to tell him once, and he learns. <br/>Jimmy doesn't bark outside and doesn't chase the squirrels. He's very low key and only wants to play and receive pets. Jimmy walks past cats without a care in the world. He met small children and was very timid around them. He took treats nicely from them and allowed pets and kisses. I believe he would do wonderful with kids who can be patient with him. He will need time to figure out the kids will be his friend and can play with him, but that will take time. He enjoys a nap after playing outside and doesn't require a ton of attention as he's happy to sleep away the hot afternoons. <br/>Jimmy would do wonderful with a family, or in home with other dogs. He loves human attention and playmates. A yard would be on his Wishlist as he's loves to run around and be silly falling over onto his back and playing with his toys. Jimmy is starting to enjoy car rides and learning the big world day by day.
