Meet Jimmy! <br/><br/>Jimmy is a handsome 3-year-old German Shepherd mix who is smart, curious, and happiest when he’s spending time with his person. He’s the kind of dog who wants to be your little shadow and loves being included in whatever you’re doing.<br/><br/>Jimmy enjoys his walks, playing with his favorite Wubba toy, and exploring. He walks well on a leash and has already learned that sitting at intersections is part of the routine. He’s also a quick learner and knows several cues, including sit, paw, stay, touch, lay down, let’s go, this way, and off. His foster says he responds very well to correction and picks things up quickly.<br/><br/>A dog sibling could be a good fit, although he doesn’t necessarily need one. He enjoys having a yard to explore, but a fenced yard isn’t an absolute requirement.<br/><br/>He can be a little cautious in new situations and around certain people, but his curiosity helps him adjust quickly. He would do best with a family willing to give him companionship, patience, and continued training as he grows in confidence.<br/><br/>Jimmy is still working on using gentle manners during play and occasionally gets a little mouthy or scratchy when he’s excited. He’s making good progress and is eager to learn. He also needs a little more practice remembering that the furniture isn’t his personal throne! <br/><br/>Jimmy is a wonderful companion with a big heart and a smart, curious personality.
