Jimbo's Story

Meet Jimbo! He's a big, handsome boy past all that puppy nonsense! We think he might be an Anatolian Shepherd mix, about 3-4 years old, currently weighing in at 85 lbs. Jimbo passed his crate, cat and kid testing and is currently running in the play yard next to several other dogs. He had no reaction when getting his vaccines and allowed us to clip all his toenails. Jimbo got an excursion out of the pound for an afternoon and this is what his handler had to say about their time together. “Jimbo easily loaded into the truck bed and rode nicely. He really enjoyed being on the 30’ line at the beach, has a soft play style and had no problem entering the water. Jimbo attaches to his handler very quickly, but is a strong male, so we worked on respecting tension on the line and giving into pressure. He started to respond to a recall “come” command quite nicely, because butt scratches are the best reward! While he looked at other dogs on the beach and in town, he never tried to pull towards them. Jimbo started walking next to his handler's side throughout town and most of the corrections were to keep him from marking territory. Jimbo enjoys affection and allows you to pet him all over his body, he is a kind dog that will excel with a little consistency and love in his life.”
Jimbo enjoys napping in the sun & likes to keep a clean kennel.

Come check out our adoptable dogs at 2650 Washington Blvd, Crescent City, CA 95531.
