Jill's Story

Jill may be a little shy when you first meet her, but don't let her quiet nature fool you. She likes to take her time getting comfortable and will often retreat to her crate while she figures everything out. Give her just a few days, though, and you'll start to see her true personality shine through, complete with a wagging tail, curious check-ins around the house, and plenty of sweet couch cuddles. Once she trusts you, Jill is an incredibly loving, happy companion who simply wants to be close to her people. This laid-back girl prefers cozy naps over busy playtime and would happily choose a tasty treat over a toy any day! She's wonderfully food motivated, loves attention, and enjoys spending time equally with both her human and canine friends. Mutts of the Midway's Adoption Policy

Thank you for choosing to adopt and your interest in Mutts of the Midway. Once there is an interest in a dog, our adoption application is completed with that dog noted. The application is vetted and two personal references and one veterinarian reference are checked. If approved, a meet and greet is set-up with all family members (including children and other dogs) and the adoptable dog. If the adopter and foster family agree it is a good fit, the adoption contract is completed and the adoption fee ($350 for a dog 6 months and younger, $300 for a dog older than 6 months) is paid. Finally the pick-up of the new family member is arranged! All applications are processed in the order they are received and we strive to find the best home for each of our dogs. All adopted animals will go into their forever home current on vaccines, microchipped, spay/neutered, heartworm preventative and given a health exam.
