Now settled in foster care, she’s healthy, content, and ready for her forever home.

Jill lives with a retired couple and three dogs. She gets along well with smaller pups and politely tolerates a larger Shepherd‑Lab mix. She does have a prey drive, so she needs a home without cats or small animals.

She walks nicely on a leash but is selective about dog greetings, so a meet and greet with any future canine sibling is important. For this reason, it's best if any applicants are within a 25 mile radius of Guelph.

Jill has always lived with other dogs, but she could also thrive as an only dog with a present, loving human.

Jill’s mobility is good—she handles stairs well and uses a 9‑inch foam step to access the bed or couch. She’s an excellent sleeper who loves curling up with her humans and enjoys plenty of daytime naps.

A Velcro Heart - Jill bonds deeply and prefers to stay close to her chosen person. She does experience separation angst, so a detached home with a fenced yard is ideal. She’s fully house‑trained and signals when she needs to go out. She’s not a winter fan, so she’s quick with her outdoor business.

Mealtime is Jill’s favourite part of the day. She eats dry food topped with meats and veggies and benefits from a slow feeder. She enjoys small fruit treats and the occasional dog‑friendly muffin—she savours every bite.

Jill’s Best Match - Jill would thrive in a quiet, adult‑only home with someone who embraces her Velcro‑dog nature and includes her in daily life. She travels well in the car and loves watching the world go by as long as her person is close.

To adopt this dog go to: http://forms.gle/Ev16pQeQ2zAZWLig6

Rat Terrier Rescue Canada Adoption Fees
Puppies under 1 year - $775
Young adult 1 year - 5 years $650
Adults 6 years - 9 years $575
Seniors 10+ $325

The adoption fee includes spay/neuter .
*EXCLUDING UNALTERED PUPPIES UNDER A YEAR.

The adoption fee also includes, at a minimum, vaccinations, de-worming, I.D. tag and microchip insertion.
