Jett's Story

Age: 3 to 5 Years
Sex: Male
Size: Medium
Good With Dogs: Yes
Good With Cats: No
Good With Children: Yes

Come meet Jett, a gentle, easy-going adult German Shepherd. This sweet boy is on the smaller side for a German Shepherd. Jett’s brindle coloring lead us to believe he might have some Dutch ancestry in his lineage. Since joining our foster program, Jett enjoys spending time outside in the grass with his foster family watching the world go. When that gets a little too boring he is excited to take the show on the road and go for a nice long walk. He has quickly settled into his foster home.

When meeting new people, Jett is inquisitive and approaches with a mix of curiosity and enthusiasm. When meeting other dogs, Jett takes a low-key approach. He is happy to make their acquaintance but is not looking to get too rowdy. He loves attention and especially ear rubs. Jett was originally found as a stray in Essex County prior to coming into our foster program. Jet loves to play and has become good friends with Jewel.

If you want to meet this not quite “big ol’ Jett airliner, and carry him to his home”, please reach out to us at contact@sedonashepherd.com or fill out an online adoption application. Please note:

Sedona Shepherd Sanctuary's mission is to rescue adult and senior German Shepherd and mixes and find them loving homes. All of our dogs are fully vetted, up to date on all their shots

Our adoption area includes New Jersey, Delaware Valley, Manhattan, Southern New York. We may adopt to Connecticut depending on circumstances. Please visit our website at www.sedonashepherd.com.

Sedona

Sedona Shepherd Sanctuary's Adoption Policy
Sedona Shepherd Sanctuary has a streamlined process for applying to adopt a German Shepherd. We do require a short application be completed that includes a veterinary reference, personal references and a home visit. You must own your own home. We do NOT require a fenced in yard or prior German Shepherd experience. On occasion if we have a younger adult dog that would benefit from a more experienced handler we will note that appropriately on the dog's listing. Our adoption fee is: Ages under 3 years old: $450 Ages 3 to 8: $250 Over 8 years old: $150 (or waived) For dogs older than 10 or with medical issues we will waive the adoption fee. This is done on a case by case situation. We do not adopt puppies. If you are interested in adopting a dog under 4 years old there are a number of respectable German Shepherd Rescues in the New Jersey metropolitan area that can accommodate you, including Shepherd's Hope Rescue and Garden State German Shepherd Rescue. From time to time we may get younger Shepherds or similar working breed dogs. Sedona Shepherd Sanctuary is
