VIP: Jet is about 2 1/2 years of age and is a short and squatty boy. He is a very calm and attentive dog who is house trained. Jet is also crate trained and will sleep in his crate. He is a smart boy who knows the command to sit. Jet is good with cats. He loves to play with plush toys and squeaky toys and chew on beef bones. Jet was calm when at the vet and such a good boy! He had gone on a group dog walk when he was at the shelter before and the volunteers said that he was just perfect! He walked very well on the leash, mostly staying by his walker's feet, and rarely pulled. He was playful with the other dogs on the walk and was easily redirected if they weren't in the mood to play. Jet loves to be petted and was returned after 6 months due to the owners being forced to move. Adopted animals are not able to go to their new home until spay and neuter surgery has been done. Adoptions are first come first serve, and no appointment or application is needed. When asking about an animal, please provide the identification number that starts with A. Adoptions are first come first serve. There is no application. Anyone over 18 years of age is eligible to adopt provided that they meet the adoption criteria for that specific animal. Criteria can range from having basic knowledge of the animal’s species or breed, having an established veterinary history, not having young children, the animal being legal to own in the city they live in, the breed they’re interested in being accepted at their apartments, etc. If a potential adopter doesn’t meet the criteria in place for that animal, they will be encouraged to look at other animals that may not have those restrictions in place. The criteria must also be met in order to visit with an animal.
