Jessie's Story

Jessi is a 1-year-old Labradoodle mix with a gentle heart and so much love to give. While she may not be the first dog to run up and greet strangers, those who take the time to earn her trust will discover one of the sweetest, most affectionate companions around.

Jessi didn't have the best start in life. She came from a large litter and wasn't well cared for during the critical first months of her development. Because of that, she still needs plenty of socialization and confidence-building to help her navigate the world comfortably.

When meeting new people, Jessi can be shy and sometimes piddles when she's nervous or overwhelmed. She needs patient adopters who understand that trust takes time and who will allow her to adjust at her own pace. Once she warms up, however, her loving personality shines through.

Jessi does well with other dogs and cats and is currently housed at CCHS with her sister, Nova. She enjoys companionship and feels most comfortable when she has someone she trusts nearby.

Unlike many dogs, Jessi isn't particularly motivated by treats or toys. What she values most is love, attention, and being close to her people. Her favorite place is right at your feet or curled up beside you. She's happiest simply being near the people she loves.

Jessi does not enjoy being separated from her people and would thrive in a home where she can be included as part of the family. With patience, consistency, and understanding, she has the potential to blossom into an incredibly loyal and devoted companion.

If you're willing to give a shy dog the time, she needs to feel safe, Jessi will reward you with a lifetime of unconditional love.

Apply today to meet Jessi and see if you're the forever family she's been waiting for.

We do not hold available/adoptable animals as we are a first come first serve facility. However, we do place animals in homes that are best fitting for that animal. If you rent, please supply your landlord's information as we cannot adopt until we speak to them directly or have something in writing approving the animal(s) allowed. If you are interested in us matching you with a forever pet, please fill out an adoption questionnaire below for us to know a little bit more about you! Please keep in mind we do require vet checks and meet and greets with other dogs in the home. It normally takes 30 + minutes for the adoption process.
