Meet Jessie — It’s Finally Her Turn to Be the Baby<br/><br/>Jessie is approximately 3–4 years old, 35 lbs, and our best guess is that she’s a Beagle/Basset Hound/Australian Shepherd mix.<br/><br/>Jessie came to us from a hoarding situation with six tiny, two-week-old puppies depending on her. It was clear she hadn’t experienced much of the world before rescue, so new people and situations can still be a little scary.<br/><br/>Jessie is apprehensive when meeting new people and needs some time to decide you’re safe. But once she does, the sweetest, silliest little girl comes out. <br/><br/>After two months in foster care, Jessie has blossomed. Now that she isn’t busy being a momma, she’s learning how to be a puppy herself — playing, exploring, soaking up affection, and discovering what it’s like to simply be loved.<br/><br/>She is house trained and uses a doggy door, and she’s looking for a patient family who will give her the time and security she needs to keep coming out of her shell.<br/><br/>Jessie spent the first part of her life surviving and then raised her babies.<br/><br/>Now it’s finally her turn to be someone’s baby.
