Welcome Jessie! This lowrider is 4 years old and about 18 pounds, so she won’t be getting any bigger. She’s a big snuggler who just wants to find someone who can love on her all the time!

Jessie is already fully crate-trained and housebroken. She’s about as easy as can be when it comes to both. She will willingly enter her crate for a treat, and she stays quiet and can keep it clean throughout the night. She hasn’t had an accident inside, and even though she doesn’t signal to Foster Mom when she’s got to go, she’ll hold it until it’s time to go out.

Jessie lives with cats and dogs of all shapes and sizes and gets along well with everyone. With cats, she’s interested to find out if they could be potential friends, but eventually, she gets bored and puts her effort towards making friends with dogs and humans -- they’re much more exciting anyway! She especially enjoys convincing the big dogs to let her in on their fun. She can take a hint when other dogs aren’t in the mood to play, and she’ll look for companionship elsewhere.

Around kids, Jessie is great because she’s just an easy going, gentle girl! She takes a minute or two to warm up to a new person and will bark in the process, but after that, she’s begging for affection. When she’s wanting some pets but her human says no, she sulks by herself for a moment but forgets it ever happened after a few minutes.

For exercise, Jessie will love walks, backyard play sessions, or even the dog park once she’s healed up from her hernia repair. She’s able to match her energy level to what’s going on around her, but on a normal day, she spends most of the day hanging out on her favorite papasan chair and then romps around with her foster siblings in the backyard for a bit.

We typically adopt to homes within 30 minutes of Athens, GA, as we require a basic home check to ensure all dogs are placed in a safe environment. If you are further away than that and are interested in one of our pups, please still fill out an application and we can discuss your options.
