Jesse's Story

Meet Jesse!
Jesse is discovering just how wonderful puppy life can be! Since coming into foster, he’s learned about the joys of toys, soft blankies, cozy beds, and having regular meals — and he’s loving every minute of it.
Jesse had a very rough start to life, but he’s come such a long way. His journey is a testament to how much love, patience, and care can change a puppy’s life. If you’d like to learn more about where Jesse and his littermates came from, please visit our Facebook page and check out our August 5 post about the “Second Chance Litter.” Their story is one you won’t want to miss.
Jesse is a playful little guy who enjoys spending time with other dogs and kids. He’s been around children ages 6 and up and loves cuddling with his canine and kiddo friends.
He’s still learning a few things and will need a patient family to help him build his confidence. Stairs are a little scary right now — he can go up just fine, but going down is a work in progress and happens on Jesse’s schedule. He’s also learning how to walk nicely on a leash.
At bedtime and when his humans are away, Jesse is comfortable in his crate. His potty training is coming along well, although he can still have an accident in the house if he isn’t given enough opportunities to go outside.
Jesse can be a little particular about his cuddles, too! He absolutely loves snuggling with other dogs and kids, but when it comes to adults, he prefers to decide when it’s time for affection.
Jesse has received his first distemper/parvo vaccination and his rabies vaccination, and his neuter is scheduled. He’s getting the care he needs while he continues learning what it means to be a happy, loved puppy.
This sweet boy has already overcome so much, and he’s just getting started. With patience, consistency, and plenty of love, Jesse is going to make someone a wonderful companion.
Jesse is ready for his second chance at the forever home he deserves!
Want to know more about Jesse’s beginning?
