Jersey is a 1.5-year-old spayed female Merle Australian Shepherd with a heart as big as her beautiful personality. She came into the shelter with her brother, Scout, and while they don't have to be adopted together, they clearly share a special bond.<br/><br/>Like many Aussies, Jersey is smart, active, and always ready to bond with her people. She's especially motivated by chicken jerky treats (seriously...they're the way straight to her heart!) and will happily work for them while continuing to build her skills. She's still learning the ropes on the leash but is making great progress and improving every day.<br/><br/>Jersey has done fairly well in a large playgroup with other dogs, but a meet and greet will be required to make sure it's the right fit. Due to her natural herding instincts, she would do best in a home without young children or small pets.<br/><br/>This active girl would thrive in a house with a fenced-in backyard where she can stretch her legs, play, and enjoy the outdoors.
