Meet Jersey<br/><br/>A tall, strong, sweet & beautiful White Shepherd / Husky mix.<br/>* 8.5 year-old girl with the heart of a racehorse, according to the vet during last years visit (a tank that will live long).<br/> She has stunning off-white fur with bronze contour around her ears.<br/> Her big brown human eyes will melt your heart.<br/> A spunky soul in a solid, slightly older body.<br/> Jersey is a tomboy.<br/> Shes used to being around and playing with other dogs, but shes not as active as she once was and no longer needs another dog to keep her happy.<br/>She truly loves her humans and mostly just wants to be with them as much as possible.<br/> If there is another dog in the home, ideally the same age or older, calm, and not looking for constant play.<br/> Energy level: Medium.<br/> She loves being part of the family.<br/> Enjoys long walks & hikes.<br/> She is great with kids & matches their energy.<br/> Very observant, patient & gentle with them.<br/><br/>Quirks:<br/> Jersey can be loud when left alone, so a home (not an apartment) is best.<br/> She takes trazodone when left alone and during storms, as they scare her.<br/> Like all Huskies, she is vocal.<br/> She is a counter surfer, so nothing can be left out within reach.<br/>Garbage bin & recycling bin need to be safely under the counter.<br/> She is very smart and can get into things she shouldnt, so a well dog-proofed home is key.<br/> She is great with other dogs and people.<br/> With a lot of training, she has gotten used to cats, but she still likes to chase some of themso preferably a home without cats.<br/><br/>Background:<br/> Jerseys dad had to return to the office full-time, so she has been spending 45 days a week at boarding for the past 2 years. Although she does well there, its not sustainable financially.<br/> He has had her since she was a 2 yrs old and wants her to have a wonderful family where she can thrive.<br/> Jersey is looking for her forever home where shell be loved and enjoy the life she deserves.<br/><br/>Ideal Home:<br/> Jersey would do best in a home where she can be the center of attention, or with a calm, older dog who doesnt expect constant play.<br/> She is crate trained but is not a big fan.<br/> Loves squeaky balls & strong chew toys.<br/> She enjoys one-on-one cuddles & affection.<br/> She can only eat fish-based dog food and treats (other foods upset her stomach).<br/> Shell thrive with people who can provide structure and long walks so she can explore her surroundings.<br/> She loves relaxing in the yard or on the patio.<br/>If you think Jersey could be your new best friend, contact usshes ready to be loved and go on adventures with you. <br/><br/>Voici Jersey <br/>Une grande, forte, douce et magnifique chienne croisee Berger Blanc / Husky.<br/>* Femelle de 8.5 ans avec le cur dun cheval de course , selon le veterinaire lors de sa visite lannee passee.<br/>* Elle a une superbe fourrure blanche avec des reflets bronzes autour des oreilles.<br/>* Ses grands yeux bruns humains vont vous faire fondre.<br/>* Un jeune ame dans un corps mature.<br/>* Jersey est un garcon manque.<br/>* Elle est habituee detre entouree dautres chiens et a jouer avec eux, mais elle est moins active quavant et na plus besoin dun autre chien pour etre heureuse.<br/>Elle adore ses humains et veut surtout etre avec eux le plus souvent possible.<br/>* Sil y a un autre chien dans la maison, lideal serait quil soit du meme age ou plus age, calme et quil. ne cherche pas a jouer constamment.<br/>* Niveau denergie : moyen.<br/>* Elle adore faire partie de la famille.<br/>* Aime les longues marches et les randonnees.<br/>* Elle est excellente avec les enfants et sadapte a leur energie.<br/>* Tres observatrice, patiente et douce avec eux.<br/><br/>Particularites:<br/>* Jersey peut etre vocale quand elle est seule, donc une maison (pas un appartement) est preferable.<br/>* Elle prend du trazodone lorsquelle est seule et durant les orages, ce qui la stress.<br/>* Tel que tous les huskys, elle est tres expressive et parle .<br/>* Elle aime fouiller sur les comptoirs, donc rien ne doit etre laisse a sa portee sur les comptoirs.<br/>La poubelle et bac de recyclage doivent etres dessous le comptoir dans larmoire.<br/>* Elle est tres intelligente donc une maison bien securisee pour les chiens est essentielle.<br/>* Elle est sociable avec les humains et les autres chiens.<br/>* Avec beaucoup de travail, elle sest habituee aux chats, mais elle aime encore poursuivre parfois donc idealement sans chats.<br/><br/>Son histoire:<br/>* Son papa a du retourner travailler au bureau a temps plein, donc Jersey passe maintenant 4 a 5 jours par semaine en pension depuis 2 ans.<br/>Meme si elle adore ceci & sadapte bien, ce nest pas viable financierement.<br/>* Il la depuis quelle est a 2 ans et souhaite lui trouver une famille extraordinaire ou elle pourra sepanouir.<br/>* Jersey est a la recherche de sa famille pour la vie, ou elle sera aimee et pourra profiter de la vie quelle merite.<br/><br/>Famille ideale:<br/>* Jersey serait la plus heureuse dans une maison ou elle peut etre le centre dattention, ou avec un chien du meme age ou plus age et calme qui ne cherche pas a jouer constamment.<br/>* Elle est habituee a la cage mais naime pas beaucoup cela.<br/>* Elle adore les balles et jouets qui font des bruits et les jouets resistants.<br/>* Elle aime les moments de calins et laffection.<br/>* Elle doit manger uniquement de la nourriture et des gateries a base de poissons (les autres aliments lui derangent lestomac).<br/>* Elle sepanouira avec des gens qui offrent de la structure et de belles longues marches pour explorer son environnement.<br/>* Elle adore relaxer dans la cour ou sur le patio.<br/>Si vous pensez que Jersey pourrait devenir votre meilleure amie, contactez-nous elle est prete a etre aimee et a partir a laventure avec vous.
