Jerry's Story

That's me - I'm Jerry, and I promise you, I will absolutely make yours.

I am that dog. The one strangers cross the street for. The one who gets stopped on every walk because people simply cannot help themselves - they have to know my name, my age, and whether they can please, please pet me. The answer is always yes. I love people. All people. Every single one of them. New faces are just friends I haven't greeted yet.
I come with a few fun facts worth knowing.

First: I have three legs, and honestly? Don't feel bad about it - I'm faster than you would expect. My Foster Mom watched me zoom around and couldn't believe it. I had surgery on that leg and never once had an accident through the whole ordeal, not even in a new house with a bandaged leg that was tricky to use. I have never had a single accident, ever. I'm extremely potty trained and will let you know when I need to go out.

I am an excellent houseguest. I visited my grandparents in Indiana for a whole weekend, sniffed every corner of their home, declared it wonderful, and made myself right at home on the couch. They were delighted. I don't get nervous in new places - I get curious.

I go to work three to five days a week and I'm a model office employee. Quiet all morning, great at napping, and I only speak up when I know it's time for my walk. I'm also a fantastic road trip companion. I love looking out the window and I never make a fuss in the car.

I am deeply affectionate and very agreeable. You can hug me, kiss me, put coats and scarves and boots on me, pick me up to help me in and out of the car - I don't mind any of it. I'll let you rest your head on me. I'm just easy like that.

At night, I sleep on the couch without a single peep until you come downstairs in the morning. I love the beach, I love to run, and I have absolutely no fear - I charged straight onto an icy frozen lakefront like it was nothing.

I'm a senior dog with a young heart, a lot of love to give, and zero interest in being anything other than your very best friend.

Come say hi. I've been waiting for you.
Tail wags
Jerry
