I'm a little dude with lots of love to give, and I'm finally ready to find my fur-ever home.<br/><br/>My foster family calls me a goofy little guy 'cause I've got lots of energy, so I'd probably benefit from having another playful dog around! I love car rides (even when it's to the vet, I'm okay!) and I'm a perfect walker on the leash! I love all dogs, no matter their size, but I do tend to bark if there's a fence between us... I love children, known adults, and even strangers can pet me with ease! I love being snuggled by people and other dogs, but I do get squirmy when I'm getting groomed or my nails done. I'm super tolerant anyway, though!<br/><br/>I love chasing squirrels in the yard and being chased, too! I'd love a family who can play with me, especially tug-of-war, since I'm a good boy when it comes to taking toys away. I'd just love to have your attention to get my energy out!<br/><br/>I tolerate the crate but it's not my favourite thing; my foster family has been leaving me in there for an hour at most, right now. I might be destructive if left to roam the entire house, but I've been doing really, really well when gated in the kitchen! No destruction at all, even when I'm left at home for four hours! Aren't I a good boy?!<br/><br/>I'm not sure how I feel about cats yet, but I was fairly indifferent to the ones that I met at the clinic. I'm house-trained and calm and quiet when my people leave and are away! I eat well and I know some cool tricks, like "come", "down", and "fetch"! I have no problem getting down from furniture if you use your voice and hand motions... I'm sure I could learn more cool tricks with my fur-ever family!<br/><br/>Please consider adopting me - if it's an energetic little buddy you're looking for, I'm the perfect fit!<br/><br/>Medical Note: Jerry received a Pro Heart 12 injection on December 8, 2023. Pro Heart 12 protects against heartworm disease for 12 months. He will only require Nexguard each month for flea/tick prevention until November 2024. For December 2024, he will require a new prescription for Nexguard and Heartguard or Advantage Multi for year-round ongoing preventative treatment.
