Jerry's Story

Jerry came to us as a stray in November alongside his brother Ben, who has since been adopted. Now it's Jerry's turn, and we can't wait for him to find his people too. At about 50 pounds, he's tall, dark, and handsome - and for a dog spending his "teenage years" in the shelter, he's impressively well‐mannered and gentle. Jerry can be a little shy at first, preferring to take a moment to make sure you're a friend, but once he feels comfortable, he's all love, silliness, and sweetness. He gets along wonderfully with dogs, cats, and children, and has even spent time around small kids and babies, showing just how gentle he truly is.

Jerry is crate trained and does well both inside and outside of his crate. In his foster home, he free‐roams during the day without any issues, but he's perfectly content being crated if needed. He's also house trained, easy on the leash, great in the car, and even enjoys time on a boat. This young, gentle boy is simply looking for the happy home he'll get to call his own for the rest of his life. We're not sure why he keeps getting overlooked, but we remind him every day that his time is coming - and when it does, he's going to make someone incredibly lucky.
