**WE ARE ALWAYS IN NEED OF FOSTER HOMES** Homeward Bound Dog Rescue is an all volunteer rescue organization and all our dogs and puppies are in foster homes - we are not a shelter and do NOT have a facility where we house our dogs. You must fill out an application online as we do NOT accept applications at our clinics.<br/><br/>Jerry is an incredibly sweet 5 month old hound mix. He truly wants nothing more than to be your cuddle buddy! He's a pretty smart dude and very food motivated, which likely means that he'll catch on to training quickly (potty training is a breeze so far)! He has a moderate energy level; he loves to chase a ball or explore outside, but is quick to come back in for a cuddle and a nap.<br/><br/>Jerry is a bit of a nervous guy. He takes some time to warm up to new people, but with a couple of minutes (and a couple of treats!), he makes a new best friend! Hes a little more selective about other dogs; it took him a couple of days to feel safe and comfortable with his foster sister (although now they have puppy wrestling matches and cuddle sessions all day long!). Jerry would probably be the most comfortable and confident in a home without a dog, or with a very slow introduction to a dog around his size. <br/><br/>Our adoption clinics are held one Saturday a month at our facility in Schenectady on John Street, located directly behind Boulevard Bowl (Erie Boulevard) from 10 am to 12 pm (directions are on our website). We require an approved application before we consider anyone for an adoption - so filling out the application is your first step. Once your application has been reviewed, you will receive an email invitation to attend an adoption event. Different dogs and puppies go up for adoption EVERY WEEK so please feel free to visit the site and click on the Petfinder link for updates as we are adopting dogs out in between adoption events. Puppies and dogs up to 2 years old are $395. Dogs over 2 years old are $295. 100% of the adoption fees go to help us save more dogs.
