Jenny

Jenny is about 8 years old. She's extremely sweet and considerably calmer than most Dachshunds. She weighs about 14 lbs. She appears to have been well taken care of, her fur is extra shiny. She does not shed hardly at all and will let you comb or brush her to keep her clean.<br/>Jenny walks nicely on a leash and appears to be house broken. I say appears, because we can never guarantee that there will not be accidents. She knows how to go through a doggy door and lets herself out when she needs to go.<br/>She is a couch potato, and she loves to loll on the couch with the other couch potatoes. She does not see real well, but that does not slow her down. She gets around just fine, although she is not a good jumper and needs Doxie Stairs or a boost from me to get up on the couch. She will tell you if she needs help getting to her preferred spot. Being that Doxies have weak backs, this is a good thing.<br/>Jenny has signs of the usual canine aging. She has a slight heart murmur and has been put on heart medication. Keep in mind this will be a monthly expense.<br/>She is truly the nicest Doxie I've fostered, and the perfect good girl for an older couple looking for an easy dog.<br/>Jenny requires a nice shady lawn, and a secure yard. She will be at your side at all times. She wants to be with her people. She is ok around other dogs, although besides sleeping near them, she really is not very interactive at this time. Keep in mind she has just started her heart meds, and I do see improvements in her energy levels already.<br/>We do require an application and a home visit.
