JENNY

Jenny is a sweet girl who really enjoys tasty treats, pets, and catches onto a routine quickly but will benefit from continued training in basic obedience training (she is learning to sit calmly for treats!). She has been a wonderful mom to her three puppies. She has done well meeting a small dog through barriers (have not allowed full contact due to her having puppies) and shows some interest in the 5 year old in her foster's home, but hasn't had full contact due to having her puppies. She is potty trained but hasn't been in a crate in her current foster home. She can be a little fearful with new people but tends to warm up quickly. Before being in her current foster home, she was in a home for 3 weeks and was noted to get along with the other dogs in that home and the 6 month old child. She was noted to do fine in the crate as well. She will make a wonderful companion for a family! I am not currently at the shelter because I'm growing big and strong in a foster home! *Staff thinks I will be ready by mid-late January*. You can sign up to pre-adopt me by placing a $50 choice hold. This is a non-refundable fee that does not go towards my adoption fee, but it does give you the first opportunity to adopt me. Shelter staff will contact you when I’m ready to go home with my new family! To place a choice hold, you can either come into the shelter or call us at 719-302-8707; you may wait to speak with a customer service representative or leave a voicemail. Choice holds are placed on a first-come, first-serve basis and only one choice hold can be placed per animal.
