Jenni's Story

Meet sweet Jenni. A dachshund mix gal, around 3–4 years old, with a heart that just needs a little patience to shine. Jenni is on the shy and timid side when meeting new people, but give her a little time and some gentle introductions, and you’ll start to see her true, loving personality come through. Once she trusts you, she forms a strong bond and really enjoys being close to her people, at all times! She’s currently a bit on the chunky side, so she’ll benefit from a home committed to helping her slim down with regular walks and a healthy routine. Think of it as a great excuse to get outside together! With other dogs, she can be selective. She may do okay at first, but once she’s comfortable, she can get a little bossy and has been known to bully and cause fights with more easygoing dogs. Because of this, she may do best as the only dog or with a very tolerant canine companion. She can get into mischief if left alone too long. Chewing is her go to hobby (and yes, couches are fair game). The good news is she is kennel trained, and that will be an important tool to help set her up for success. Her beautiful long coat will need regular grooming to keep her looking and feeling her best. We’re unsure how she does with cats, and we recommend a home with older, respectful kids who understand giving her space when she needs it. She really wants someone she can be with as much as possible! Give us a call or PM if you are interested in meeting her.
