Jenkins's Story

PLEASE NOTE: This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to Massachusetts shortly with no additional travel costs. Roughly 90% of our dogs are adopted prior to their transport up to MA and 10% are adopted locally.

Meet Jenkins! Jenkins is approximately 1 year old and 48 lbs currently and he likely has some Doodle in his mix. He was found as a stray. In his foster home, he is doing great with his house training, crate training and leash walking. He could join households with kids, and other dogs. He has not been exposed to cats.

His foster says, "Jenkins or as we came to call him “Moose” is a certified good boy. In just the short amount of time that we have been lucky enough to become a part of his story, he has shown that even though someone may dump you out it’s no reason to let it get you down. He continues to show a happy go lucky attitude everyday. He doesn’t quite understand personal space and likes to sit with at least one paw touching you. He enjoys plenty of exercise and toy time with dog friends. He LOVES small children and will bring toys to his playmate. He doesn’t bark much at all. He’s mastered sit, shake, and we’ve almost gotten “fist-bump” down. (Just hold out your knuckles to his nose and he will put his nose on your knuckles.) I do expect his forever home to keep that one up! Haha All jokes aside, I hope his forever family will understand how truly lucky they are to cross his path. We wish him the very best."

He is available for adoption in N Dartmouth in March. Please fill out an application on our website at https://www.browndogcoalition.com/adoptable as a first step.

-Dogs may not be given as gifts or surprises.
-Please thoughtfully discuss with your entire household the physical, safety, financial and emotional responsibilities of a dog BEFORE applying to adopt.
- More information about our adoption process, application and adoption fees can be found at browndogcoalition.com
