Jen's Story
Meet Jen!

Jen is a sweet, gentle 2-year-old Chihuahua mix weighing 10.5 pounds. She has a soft, sensitive personality and can be a bit nervous at first, but with patience and kindness, she blossoms into a loving and affectionate companion.

Jen does well with people once she feels safe and is good with other dogs. She enjoys being pet, going on walks, and spending time with her humans. She is potty trained, crate trained, rides well in the car, and has a medium energy level, making her well-suited for apartment living or a quieter home.

Jen does not show any marking or biting issues and is not food aggressive. She does not need to live with another dog but would be perfectly fine if there is one in the home.

Like her brother Ben, Jen was abandoned in a park, left tied to a tree without food or water. Despite this heartbreaking start, she is a loving girl who is ready for a fresh beginning with a family who will give her the safety and affection she deserves.

Jen would thrive in a patient, loving home where she can continue building confidence at her own pace.

***Special Washington Adoption Weekend***

This dog will be traveling all the way from Baja, Mexico, to Lacey, Washington, for our special adoption weekend! We expect to have more than 30 dogs available and would love to have as many of them pre-adopted—or families pre-approved—as possible before they arrive.

Visit www.tragictomagic.org/wa for event details, available dogs, and application information.

Not quite ready to adopt? We are also urgently looking for temporary foster homes during the event weekend. Fostering can help prevent a dog from having to make the long trip back to Mexico if they are not adopted.

We also need volunteers throughout the three-day event. Even helping for just a few hours on one day would make a tremendous difference!
