Jemma is in Maine!'s Story
Jemma is a sweet, shy, and loving girl who is still learning how to take on the world. Once she's assured there's nothing to worry about, she's all puppy!

She loves rough-and-tumble play with her siblings and then melts into a cuddle puddle when she's done. No matter how puppy-frenzied she gets, she'll always calm right down for a belly scratch.

Jemma is smart and highly trainable, already responding well to positive reinforcement and basic commands. She's about 75% house trained, her foster family has learned to watch for her cues. She's also proven capable of sleeping comfortably in her crate overnight, though she does best when she can be in the same room as her people. She's particularly sensitive to anything around her neck or anything that pulls, so a gentle, careful approach with leash introductions goes a long way.

Her confidence is growing in leaps and bounds, she goes from hesitant follower to curious leader surprisingly fast once she knows she's safe. With a patient family willing to offer gentle guidance early on, Jemma will absolutely blossom into an incredible companion.

Jemma was born around December 2025 and found alongside her mom, Jewel, and her siblings, in Little River Canyon National Park in Alabama.

She weighs a bit over 15 lbs and will be ready for her forever home around April 21st.

YOUR ADOPTION FEE COVERS: Transport to Maine, age specific vaccinations, Health certificate, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm/lyme/ehrlichia test, worming & martingale collar.

Adoption fees:
Through 6 months of age $450;
7 months to through 5 years $400;
6 years and under 9 years $325: bonded pairs are $500;
9 years and older $250: bonded pairs are $300

This dog is available unless it is marked as Pending, meaning Pending Adoption.
