Jelly Bean's Story
Meet Jelly Bean, a sweet, goofy Aussie mix who happens to be deaf and is learning the world in his own special way. He loves walks, working for treats, and is already picking up simple hand signals.

Like many herding breeds, Jelly Bean sometimes "guides" his people by lightly nipping at ankles-especially during quick turns or sudden direction changes. It's not aggression, just instinct. Treats and clear cues help him refocus beautifully.

He would do best in an adults-only home or with people experienced with herding breeds. Please give treats only in his kennel-he gets a little pushy when he wants more snacks!

Jelly Bean is good with other dogs, and while we have no history with kids or cats, he's been a gentle, eager-to-learn boy here. He came to us as an owner surrender after his family realized they couldn't meet his needs, and he's been waiting since 8/27/25 for someone who understands him.

If you're patient, kind, and excited to keep teaching hand signals, Jelly Bean will be the most loyal, loving companion.
